With education and philanthropy as its foundation, Stanwood-Camano, Washington Branch of AAUW encourages personal growth and friendship while providing members opportunities to affect their community and demonstrate that, together, women empower each other to realize equity for women and girls.



Come To A Meeting
Stanwood-Camano Branch of AAUW is continually recruiting new members. Our group meets the second Thursday of the month beginning in September ending in May with our final luncheon meeting in June honoring our scholarship award recipients. We make every effort to schedule a mix of morning and evening meetings to accomodate the busy work schedules of our members.

Holiday Celebration of Giving
Presentation by Wana Duma Children's Project for the children of Kenya.

January 12, 2012: 1:00 p.m. Merrill Gardens
Speaker: Carol Pope
Sharing her experiences in Goa, India with Rejhad's Rope, a ministry to educate women and girls on preventing prostitution.

February 9, 2012: 7:00 p.m. Merrill Gardens
Speaker: Penny Buse
Author of Stuck in the Mud, history of Warm Beach. Penny will share how she began as a writer.

Day Trippers & Book Club
Other activities our members enjoy are Day Trippers and Book Club. Outings are planned whenever possible to a variety of locations. We welcome ideas for new things to do.

Book Club meets the first Monday of the month. The ladies read quite a variety of books and conduct spirited discussions on the book, its author and application to their lives today.
